31 Days of Halloween - Day 12 "A Nightmare On Elm Street"

Join us all October long as we spotlight different horror movies every day with a brand new video!

Freddy Krueger has haunted my nightmares since I was just a wee boy. Images of him in magazines and on the back of VHS boxes were my only experience for a long time. Then I was finally able to view the first film and I was never the same again.

I always refer to this film as a journey because every time that I watch it, I feel as though I'm in a totally different place than when I started it. Wes Craven takes us along for a ride through the complete mental annihilation of a group of friends. Because Freddy isn't simply a horror villain who will kill you in a variety of creative and nasty ways, no he's there to make sure that if you do happen to survive, you'll never be the same again. And it's easy to see, with the hard fought battle that Nancy goes through. There's so many moments where she could simply give up and die. But she perseveres and overcomes in ways that no other could.

About zombievictim

I'd like my writing to further represent me as a person by providing different insights into the things currently on my mind. Whether it's writing about a movie, TV show, album, book, wrestling event, experience, or life lesson. I don't plan on making this a personal blog where I treat it like a diary. This is just supposed to represent… Me.
