31 Days of Halloween - Day 31 "Halloween"

Join us all October long as we spotlight different horror movies every day with a brand new video!

You didn't actually think Day 31 was going to be anything but John Carpenter's 1978 classic, did you? As with most horror fans, Halloween is a staple of my holiday celebrations, watching it every year since I can remember. I even have an old VHS that I taped off of FX, because I wasn't old enough to watch the R version. If you like horror films, then chances are your obsession with this film verges on unhealthy.

It's just a classic in every sense of the word. The atmosphere is perfect -- surprising given that it was shot in California where Fall doesn't exactly happen. Then there's the music, which to this day remains one of the greatest scores in all of film. And while the sequels may have watered down the villain, Michael Myers in the first is downright terrifying. He's just a boogeyman, out on the hunt for babysitter blood. Laurie isn't his sister, he's not on some mission, he's just a psycho with one thing on the mind: destruction.

Oh yeah, and Happy Halloween!

About zombievictim

I'd like my writing to further represent me as a person by providing different insights into the things currently on my mind. Whether it's writing about a movie, TV show, album, book, wrestling event, experience, or life lesson. I don't plan on making this a personal blog where I treat it like a diary. This is just supposed to represent… Me.
